Showfront to showcase at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne!

We are excited to announce that Showfront will be partnering with Oz Comic-Con to bring the most exciting event in the pop-culture scene this year to Melbourne.

 

 

From 27 to 28 June, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will play home to the third instalment of Oz Comic-Con after successful events in Perth and Adelaide. Following the Melbourne event, Oz Comic-Con will move to Brisbane on 19 to 20 September and Sydney 26 to 27 September.

Like other Comic-Con events held across the world, fans can expect everything and more over the two days, with the opportunity to learn and experience all the latest developments, news and displays for gaming, comic, anime, cosplay, costuming, movie and television fans. As part of the excitement special guest stars from Hart of Dixie, Stargate Atlantis, Firefly, Lord of the Rings and American Horror Story will be on hand to answer questions from fans and the opportunity to get up close and personal with autograph and photography sessions.

 

Events of this scope only come on to the local scene once a year and provide a chance for fans to mingle and be a part of the action-packed, colourful and exciting event that is Oz Comic-Con!

On top of guests from film and television there will be appearances by Eve Beauregard, renowned cosplay artist and comic and publishing giants Wolfgang Bylsma, Kylie Chan, Doug Holgate, Tristan Jones, Paul Mason, Stewart McKenny, Jason Palmer and Jon Sommariva. 

 

As a big part of the fun, the Oz Comic-Con organisers will hold a cosplay competition at all five Australian events with the winner to strut their stuff on the world stage at 2016 C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay in Chicago. The competition is held on the Sunday of the event but don’t worry, fans will be dressing up in the costumes of their favourite characters from anime, manga, video games, television, movies, comics, books and generic characters on both days of the event.  Make sure you come dressed for the occasion!
